Philosophical understanding of Rahu and Ketu.

Along with the seven major planets the ancient Indian wise men have also paid close attention to two shadow planets, which are not quite planets in the usual sense, as they have no physical weight and are not seen in any telescope. But despite this, out of the nine planets that show karma, two are shadow planets (Vedic astrology doesn’t take into consideration some trance Saturn moons, asteroids and comets). And since we have been living in the era of those planets it is very important for us to know about them and live in harmony with them.

Astronomically these shadow planets represent a point in which the Moon’s orbit intersects the visible path of the Sun on the celestial sphere. At these points the solar and lunar eclipses can occur. Lunar knots correspond with the time at which the solar and lunar energies interact and enter into a conflict, or neutralize each other. They represent, so to speak, the opportunity “power cut” of solar or lunar energies. That’s why the lunar knots are an extremely sensitive point of the horoscope. Their influence can affect the entire effect of planetary forces.

Rahu – north or ascending knot – the point at which theMoon crosses the ecliptic in its movement from South to North.
Ketu – south, or descending knot – the point at which the Moon crosses the ecliptic moving from North to South. Thus, the energy of the northern knot is associated with ascending, extension, but this energy is predominantly negative.

South knot is associated with the descent, the compression of the same energy. In the Vedic system the Ketu effect is not as disadvantageous as the effect of Rahu.

According to the legend, Rahu and Ketu are two halves of the demon’s body, who had the drink of immortality and after was punished for that and cut into two parts. The Sun eclipses and the Moon eclipses always take place near one of the lunar knots. That is how these lunar knots are able to suppress, obscure the Sun and any other planet.
The effect of Rahu is similar to the effect of Saturn planet; Ketu’s effect is more like effect of Mars. The energy of the knots, however, is more subtle and elusive than the energy of those planets.

Who can tell what is good or bad luck?

 Zen saying.

Most of us dream of the day when we won’t have any more problems, when everything will be resolved, and our lives will be “complete”. But problems are an important and valuable part of our lives, and instead of trying to eliminate them, we should strive to understand exactly what they are.

Nothing happens by chance. We are a part of a universe that is forever giving us definite messages and signals, often in the form of problems. It is not an accident or coincidence that a particular problem is happening to you at any given point in your life; our difficulties are signposts waiting to be read. Ask yourself: What is the problem I’m experiencing telling me about myself? What is it telling me about my thoughts? Beliefs? Actions? Choices? Lifestyle? What is this problem trying to tell me? Look closely, and see if you can find the real cause. If you always feel sorry for yourself or helpless when a problem comes your way, you’ll miss the important messages it brings you.

bleckt-image-51-thumbThe Ability to Live by the Soul’s Desires Means to be Healthy, Happy and Successful.

2.1. To be able to Hear One’s Heart, One must Stop Being a Slave of Baser Instincts.

If you have not found anything worth dying for, then you do not know how to live.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“You write a lot about the importance of having aspirations, and that this will make us happy. But I have a plethora of desires, yet I continuously remain unhappy, as many of my goals do not come to fruition. Even when some of them do materialize, I only become happy for a mere while.”

First of all, it is very important to distinguish between desires that originate from our true self and ones that are merely fabricated. Our mind will willingly accept everything that involves our own pleasure, and recoil from anything disagreeable to us. For example, as soon as you enter a room and see a cake, the senses of smell and sight seize upon it, sending a message to your mind: “This cake is freshly baked and delicious!” The mind’s reaction is instantly clear: “Go and enjoy it! Take as much as possible!” It does not care that it might possibly be unhealthy, or that there may be something else that should have priority at this moment, etc.

IMG_02201аRecently I’ve had several meetings, phone calls, which made me change my views on my life, particularly on the relationships with other people.

I started thinking deeply about it after the 4th level of the Eastern Psychology, where we were talking about friendship. The ability to be a friend precedes the ability to love. The real friend is someone, who feels friendliness towards everyone and who doesn’t increase our ego, on the contrary, he helps us to reduce it.

I told some stories, which happened to me last month.

1.  Our friends have visited us recently – a family with 4 children, that lives nearby. They are very mellow and pleasant, on a rather high spiritual level. I gave them my book in English “Ten steps to happiness”. The head of the family opened it, read a couple of ideas, which he liked very much. He congratulated me with the release of the book in Canada, wished me every success and to distribute over 300 000 copies of it. Then he stopped, looked at me and added very attentively: “But don’t become proud of yourself.” He told it very sincerely and inspired me very much.

In any large bookstore you will find multiple books on how to succeed in life, to become happy, and to get rid of diseases. The majority of these books give many practical recommendations; almost every one of them promises to easily turn you from a poor stepdaughter into a happy Cinderella. But if you turn to the statistics, you will learn that the number of happy and healthy people is declining.

In the author’s opinion, the reason for this is that there are no deep inner changes. It is a person’s character, mentality, and programs of the subconscious mind that determine their fate. Without changing them and correct understanding of the main principles of the Universe, the real changes will not happen. Any changes on the external level only, in behavior, often lead to accumulation of aggression and irritation; a person becomes hypocritical, and after a while the misfortunes and depressions return on a much larger scale. For example, the popular advice “make plans and strictly stick to them” reinforces egoism; “smile at everybody,” if it does not come from the heart, will lead to hypocrisy; “take life lightly, do not show disappointment” pushes the negative emotions deep inside.

That is why in this book, along with practical recommendations, you will find quite profound philosophical ideas, explained in simple words. Just by reading these, you can get rid of conscious and subconscious negative agenda, inner complexes, grievances, fears, and all that prevents us from being happy, healthy, and successful.

This book is for everybody, no matter his or her age or social level, who is ready to devote some time to attentive reading of this book and with its help to try to become healthy and happy.
