If you meet such a person, you’ll see that he/she is a prosperous person, healthy and very happy. Long ago it was noticed that the most successful people who have made the distinguished career were those who were able to establish good relations, negotiate with other people.

There were civilizations in the millenniums-old history of humanity, flourishing in all respects. Many of them have left such masterpieces of architecture, which we are not able to repeat, and what is more, it is even difficult to understand how they arecreated.

Pyramids of Egypt, ancient cities in the Latin America, in the Southern Urals, in India are only a tiny part of the great achievements of our predecessors on this planet; there were lots and lots of them.

These civilizations were based on certain knowledge in their cognition of the world, given from above and lived in a harmony with the nature. This knowledge has been clearly stated and recorded in the ancient Aryan civilization; you can also find their influence among the Jews and Greeks, in ancient Arabic books. If we live in accordance with this knowledge, the stars will be on our side, the Universe will be our best friend, and every new day will give us health, good luck and happiness.

To understand that there is no real reason for anger and irritation. One of the three major sins enumerated in the Vedas is anger (besides lust and greed). There can be no love in a heart, where there is anger or irritation. Anger and irritation are the denial of love. And this is the most basic sin, followed by all the rest. If we do not commit the sin of denying love, we automatically set ourselves free from other sinful thoughts and actions.

We always have a choice how to react to a situation. Acceptance of the situation brings peace and love and disapproval of the situation has as a consequence lots of negative emotions, such as irritation, anger, sadness, spite, resentment, pain, fear, etc. You’d probably say: "It’s easy to say, “Choose how to react”. But it is not so easy to do in practice. If I am annoyed with something, how can I react differently?"

In truth, it is very easy to react to the situation with acceptance, if we understand that our negative reaction to the situation is not based on reality. It is not based on Truth.

Our reaction is based on our thoughts about the reality which we yearn to have. Reality is what is happening here and now, what is true. Illusion and lie is what we think about what reality should be. When we do not accept the reality, the idea that the reality must be different is running in our heads. Our mind does not agree with what is happening and rebels, causing irritation, or anger, stress, pain, etc.

For example, you are driving in a car with a friend, but suddenly get stuck in a traffic jam and don’t move. Your friend, sitting nearby, is chomping very loudly, chewing a cud. You start to get nervous because of the traffic jam, as you want to move forward. And the nasty chomping of your friend makes you even more annoyed.

What is the reality in this situation? You are in a traffic jam and standing still. Your friend is champing.

What is the illusion in this situation? You wish the car was moving and there was no traffic jam. You think your friend should not chomp. Please note that all this is happening just in your mind, and not in the reality. So it is not real, it is an illusion.

Realizing that these illusory thoughts are pointless and useless, which only put a strain on you or bring negative emotions, you may be quite willing to brush them aside. When you realize that these thoughts are of no use, they will start to disappear. If you continue to think that you should not be in a traffic jam and your friend should not chomp (in other words, that the reality must be different), it will irritate you more, because the reality will remain the same. To resist it mentally is just the same as to beat your head against a wall.

Brushing away thoughts of how reality should be, you get immersed in tranquility, acceptance, and most importantly – you start to love the existing reality as such. You become one harmonious whole with the reality, that is, you get into a life stream and do not resist it. When you are in this stream, your actions automatically become harmonious with reality, giving the best results. Everything gets on by itself. Exactly as it is planned in this Universe for its harmonious existence, and not as you would like it to be. If you are a harmonious particle of the Universe that does not resist the reality and lives in the flow with it, then everything in your life goes the best way possible for you to live in harmony.

Situation acceptance technique:

Analyze the disturbing situation according to the following points:

1. What is the reality? (What is really happening?)

2. What is the illusion? (What do you think about what is happening: what should reality be in your opinion?) This is that false thought that prevents you from accepting the present and causes negative emotions.

3. Imagine yourself without the false idea. (Ask yourself what you will be if you do not have this false thought that the reality must be different). Then imagine yourself still having that thought. You will see yourself how the absence or presence of this thought affects you.

4. Ask yourself: ”Are you ready to brush away this thought?” If the answer is “yes”, then the thought will go away by itself, you will accept the present and feel peace and love. If the answer is “no”, then ask yourself if there is any reason to keep having that thought? Finding the cause, make sure that it is also false, that is, it confirms your thought that the reality must be different and does not confirm the true reality.

The reason turns out to be false and meaningless. Repeat the fourth point until your mind wants to get rid of this thought. Usually it does not take more than two times. You will find there is no real reason, on no occasion, to feel anything in the present, except acceptance and love.

Negative emotions signal us that in reality something is not happening the way we want. Sometimes it pushes us to action to change the situation, but it is not always possible to change the reality. For example, if you are 150 cm in height, then no matter how hard you are trying to change this reality, you will never be 180 cm tall. Or, if you get stuck in a traffic jam and have nowhere to go, there is nothing to do but to accept and come to love this jam, which teaches you patience, humility and serenity so well.

Externally we can (and sometimes must) make an effort to change the situation, but internally we should keep humility.

For example, you can hint to your friend politely and calmly, without reproaches and complaints, that he is chomping loudly and this is giving you discomfort. You can get out of the car and go the rest of the way on foot or use another mode of transport. If the attempt to change the situation is made without irritation, with love and internal acceptance of the situation, no matter how it turns out and preferably with good humor, the situation will be resolved. And even if it is not, accept it, anyway, and you will be calm and remain in love. Is this not happiness? This is the real humility before the Supreme power, the Universe, the reality, call it as you prefer. Humility is within you and outside you can act to change the situation. Humility is an internal attitude to accept reality with love.

When the cause of irritation or any other negative emotion is some other person, you cannot usually change the situation. Because we cannot change another person. We can only give another person knowledge and show the way how to change (provided that he wants it and is ready to listen to you), but only he can change himself. What is more, not everybody wants to hear from you a precept how he should live. In response, you can be showed your path, and where it is better for you to go with your good intentions … You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink.

The best solution in this situation is to change yourself. Or rather, change your attitude towards this person. Accept him what he is in reality, and brush away a thought about what he should be in your opinion. All in all, when your mind gets accustomed to accept this person, he will cease to annoy you or to cause other negative emotions. You will ascend to a higher development level, rising above the rejection, which this person, your Teacher, wanted to teach you. As a result, usually that person’s behavior changes, or unchanged, he disappears from your life, or completely ceases to "trouble" you. You can accept yourself in the same way.

Seeing the reality and brushing away false thoughts, you will realize that there is no real reason for anger, irritation, or any other negative reaction to the situation. In reality there is only acceptance, peace and love. And that is our true nature, which is characteristic of our higher Self, our soul.

Woe to Wit

We bring our own sufferings upon ourselves, resisting the reality. Accept what is happening, brush away a thought of what reality should be in your opinion. And you will see how you are filled with peace and love, and your sufferings get sidelined. Then you realize that sufferings are sent to us only to strengthen our love.

This article is based on my realizations after reading the book "Loving What is" by Byron Katie. I strongly recommend this book to everyone.

Question 1: Should married women be employed and earn money for living as well as men?

The woman has a sacred role as a mother and homemaker that we should honor. Her place in forming a harmonious society is pivotal. Every woman holds the Shakti power and grace of the Divine Feminine and should cultivate the nurturing, calming and compassionate aspect of her deeper nature to sustain universal peace and harmony, starting with her immediate relationships.

Yet women today must have some vocational training for their emotional and mental well-being. It has become almost a necessity in the modern world that wives have to work to augment the family income. This may be unfortunate but has become a reality that many families must face.

Whether women should have a job also depends upon the welfare and financial status of the family. Besides the monetary aspect it is important that young children have a mother in the home during their formative years. Personal guidance, structure and spiritual initiation is very important in the child’s growing years.

Women benefit from learning and teaching the different aspects of Yoga, Ayurveda and meditation as this affords them a deeper understanding of their intrinsic nature and well-being. The wife can benefit from a vocation either in the home or outside the home, if it allows some time in the home as well. Today also there are not so many family businesses as there were in the past where the wife could easily find a role.

The breakdown of the family system today makes every woman very insecure, which drives her to a career to sustain herself. In addition, marriage has become unpredictable. Unless marriage becomes a more stable institution, where there is a spiritualization of the relationship, it is difficult to expect women not to seek a career outside the home. In addition, many marriages today do not have children or the children have grown up, in which case it is profitable for women to keep themselves occupied.

On the other extreme, certain social pressure groups give the woman the idea that she needs her own career and that this is more important than marriage or children. The result is that many women reach the age of forty and then discover their natural need for nurturing a family and find it may be too late to fulfill it, leading to much emotional sorrow and unrest, as well as lasting regrets about their choices. Women must learn to draw a balance harmonizing their inner and outer nature being in sync with Mother Earth and Mother Nature.

Spiritualizing their existence at its deeper core will guide women to their fulfillment as mothers and nurturers. Sacred practices, prayers and meditation help harmonize women and allow them to heal at a deeper level. A spiritual existence grants us peace and security beyond all the vicissitudes of life. It is the real source of security.

Question 2: How one should bring up a girl in the family so that in the future she would rely on her husband but not herself.

First of all society must return to honoring the family. Current society is overly individualistic and so no one wants to make any sacrifices for the family as whole. The result is that as soon as a few problems arise husband or wife goes their own ways, often to the detriment of any children that might be there. Both male and female roles and place in the home and family should be respected.

Presently women follow a male role of competitive career seeking, which not only disturbs their emotions but even their hormones. Women must be honored in society today, making the feminine role model of harmony. Young girls must be taught to be nurturing, caring, compassionate and gentle. They should be taught about the various cultures and spiritual traditions in the world, and not have their vision confined to the current society only. Women must be taught all the fine arts to enhance their femininity through music, painting, gardening, culinary skills, literary skills, and handiwork like embroidery and knitting. These attributes are meditative in many ways and healing at a deeper level.

Women should not be left in the home by themselves, however, for long periods of time. They should be part of an extended family, community, and other women’s associations that honor the higher feminine nature and offer them companionship when the husband is away.

Women who have strength of character and willpower will be able to step out in the world with the conviction and confidence of a spiritual nature, to be able to guide not only other women but the society as a whole. True independence is not about aggression and masculine acquisitions, it is the power of one’s inner grace and divinity.

Most importantly, men must learn to honor the girl child, not only the father but also the brothers must respect her. Then she will more likely learn to trust men. Women must always be comforted and protected to enable them to hold the family in divine grace. They should be treated with care, not manipulation, control, ownership and the attempt to dominate.

We must remember that women cannot rely upon men who themselves are unreliable. Both men and women are responsible for the situation today and have to address the situation together.

Question 3: How one should bring up a boy in the family so that he would become a leading person and not driven.

Achievement and success are part of our growth pattern, but need to be directed in the right way. Some men often become super achievers in the outer world, while others fail to do much of anything. Yet sometimes these super achievers are only outward show and lack inner depth, sensitivity and refinement.

We see a tendency in traditional cultures to spoil the boy or the male child, which tends to make him arrogant and unaccountable, and which can even lead to him becoming incompetent as he is often not expected to make real efforts to get anything, which should be offered to him on a silver platter.

The male child must be given encouragement and initiative to understand his intrinsic worth as a spiritual being. There must be a wholesome approach to life, inculcating the virtues of honesty, respect, graciousness and compassion. We must teach humility and service into the boys first of all, which means giving them a spiritual goal to strive for, not merely worldly accolades.

Boys often follow the example of their fathers and brothers. Often parents push their children to be super achievers, including the mother. Parents should try to understand the nature and needs of the child instead of using the child to promote their own interests or satiate their own unfulfilled desires.

Boys in their teens need discipline and also benefit from doing some social service (even going into the army can help) or some charitable religious work. This requires that there is some cause or ideal for them to follow and some teacher or leader for them to emulate. Such a teacher should usually be outside the immediate family for which emotion colors the connection. Special youth groups can be helpful this way.

Especially, we need to bring boys out into nature where they can learn the skills of interacting with the natural world. Hiking, trekking, gardening, relating to plants, rocks and the stars will widen their horizons and make them more sensitive to life as a whole, which includes not only a study of ecology but of traditional spirituality.

The current culture of keeping children, particularly boys, occupied with competitive sports, computer games, and media based entertainment tends to breed the same aggression in the mind of the child. It overheats their nervous systems and can bring them to a condition of burnout or passivity, in which they become dependent upon external stimulation for their motivation.

Young boys must be instilled with the virtues of deep respect and caring for their feminine counterparts. Boys should be taught to respect women, which are aided by honoring the Mother, Nature and the Cosmic Feminine principle. They should be trained to protect and be courteous with women, not to bully them around. Boys must learn to be gentle, polite, caring and protective towards girls and women.

Some sort of sadhana, spiritual or religious practice is essential, even in the teenage years to inculcate this deeper respect and regard for the sacred nature of all life and for being able to foster a culture of peace and harmony. Being part of a group or community that honors these higher values is probably the best thing for the young and old.

Another great aid in life is to have one’s Vedic astrology chart examined, whether for boys or girls, men or women. The chart clearly reveals the character, skills and weaknesses of a person, including their career inclinations, relationship potential, spiritual orientation, and how these unfold at different times of the life. Some degree of counseling from a spiritual perspective is necessary for everyone, particularly the young.

Finally each person must be seen as an individual and a way of life adapted to their real aptitudes, interests and capacities. In these regard we must remember that each individual is unique and sacred and the soul’s role in life must be given the highest place.

After my visit to Moscow I planned to share some of my thoughts on recent consultations and meetings.

Unfortunately, due to the lack of time I’m able to write my blog only now, and something has already slipped out of my memory.

I had to reduce the number of consultations in Moscow for, as a rule, they take away a lot of subtle energy. Usually they were evening consultations, and the most people who came were mentally ready and thus their energy was in a big plus.

I have also realized that it is yet early to finish giving consultations for me because for almost everybody who came it was very important and necessary.

I have given a course on the physical level which was quite a remarkable experience. Long ago I noticed that if among those who come to me there are people with a similar health disorder, I will most likely have the same kind of problem with my health. On the physical level I was very tired, because I couldn’t overcome a jet lag after my flight from Canada. And anyone could tell by my looks that day that the physical level is of vital importance.

From the memorable consultations:

1. There came a young woman – an Olympic champion. She devoted all her life to sport, which resulted in problems with health and personal life. The government promised her a flat which she has not been able to get for 5 years already. She is in litigation with the state authorities at the moment.

I redirected her and gave recommendations on how to develop on the 4 main levels of life; I also explained to her what subconscious desire had forced her to the “Olympus”. The ability to work hard and to achieve one’s aims is essential for anyone who works to improve oneself. That is why I like to work with sportsmen. I remember my getting the Master of Sports title (equates to national champion) back in my last year at the university and how much blood it would cost me. It was the time when I learned how dangerous sport may get after receiving the First-Class rank (equates to regional champion), especially for women, in all kinds of sport. As a rule, after such overstrains not only the body and nervous system of a woman gets damaged, but so does her personal life.

2. There came a businessman, probably an oligarch, judging by the sphere he worked in and the level of his income. And then the projection bias appeared. He is a sportsman, formerly an army officer, and about my age. He meditates for several hours every day and does other eastern practices. He was born in a small provincial town in Russia, and he is very literate and utmost organized. He achieves anything he wants to. However, the crisis in economy made him realize that not everything was in his power: he lost a lot, almost turned bankrupt, but managed to pay debts and let no one down.

We had a long talk, and what surprised me was that it lasted 3 times longer than scheduled and he had planned it. And the two people, who had appointments after him, canceled their consultations at the “eleventh hour”. That happened for the first time in my life, which meant that the wishes of that man could come to fruition in no time.

When I started to talk about love, being the next and the highest level of development, which should have been his next goal, otherwise he would be crushed, for the universe is the power supreme which is naturally much more powerful than he is, he seemed not to get it thoroughly. He asked me to be more exact and specific: what he should do, how much, how many hours a day. All that I asked him was to write one sentence every day for 3 months: “The main aim of my life is God’s love,” and to do as many unselfish deeds as possible (we discussed his health and business separately).

Then I asked him: “Do you love your wife and children?”
- Yes, I do.
- Good. But would you believe somebody who’d say that there is a material technique or a day schedule to increase the amount of love of your wife to you? Only material dependence perhaps… but the heart abides by quite different laws.

And we had quite a long talk about them, why they are important and why selfishness is so dangerous, as well as pursuing of one’s linear aims. The more energy, skills and talents a person possesses, the greater the damage to his life and the life of the people around may be if he is selfish and egocentric, though everything may seem to be fine.

Finally he agreed with almost everything I was saying. He e-mailed me recently that he keeps on writing the phrase I advised and, as I could figure out, gives much more money for charity.

Ten years ago I had an almost similar conversation with S. N. Lazarev which I am very grateful to him for. His words strongly influenced my outlook and my life. For instance, the idea that the selfish pursuing of one’s aims and the development of mystic abilities to the prejudice of love is diabolism…

So, almost every consultation deserves a special comment.
Russian-speaking people are unique in their ability to achieve high results in self and spiritual development providing they are sincere and open.

However, it is painful to look at the present state of things in former Soviet republics: drugs, alcoholism, corruption, defilement, especially among the young. Whole countries fall victim to these problems… Something must be done about it, and urgently…The government is always the first candidate to be blamed, however, every nation has the government it deserves and their change may lead to much more serious troubles. To my way of thinking, the main thing is to change the outlook and the consciousness of people.

I was asked: “What should we do, if we can’t stand to watch it much longer?”

First of all, you should get a strong aspiration to serve your family, your kin, your nation and the whole world.
I suppose that anyone can prepare some lecture (or to help somebody occupied with it, e.g. to the temperance society Obshchee Delo) and deliver it at school, some enterprise, military unit, etc. It may be about the importance of morality, ethic, or the harmful effect of alcohol, and so on. It can be done, no matter what religion or political party you belong to. Only be careful not to peddle your personal ideas (religious or political).

Send your protests to mass media (to TV especially, for it’s dreadful what they usually show on most channels); if possible, speak in mass media yourself. You may pray and express your sincere desire to serve the world, and you will get help from above and will be shown the way how to do it better. Even if one person changes through it, then it may be the accomplishment of your life purpose.

In the 90-s and the beginning of the new century I delivered hundreds of free lectures in different schools, universities, military units, prisons etc. In the beginning of the 90-s I still had a strong desire to convert all those people to Vaishnavism (I was an adept of this movement at that time), then I completely stopped giving any religious message in my lectures and shared only scientific factual information on the law of cause and effect, spoke about our improper outlook and thinking being the cause of our illnesses, about the importance of correct diet and soberness, the effect of drugs and alcohol, etc. While lecturing and at the end of every speech I sometimes gave brief consultations.

I believe that everything good that happened in my life lately (some spiritual revelations, in the first place) occurred because I could overcome, at least for some time, my egoistic, selfish and wrathful nature.
I was looking for something in my desk about a year ago when I found a file with grateful reviews from those times – which put me in good spirits right away. On the top of the batch there was a feedback from a frontier outpost from Kaliningrad region.

________________________________

There was a conference of the heads of the main religious confessions in Moscow dedicated to a revival of temperance. The organizers of the meeting handed out to everybody the 4th issue of our magazine “Thanksgiving with Love”, and everyone liked it very much.

Every day we get a decent number of grateful reviews and “thanksgiving” letters, and what is even more pleasant is that people go through positive changes thanks to it.
The day before yesterday I consulted a married couple that entirely gave up drinking alcohol, plus they started to build up harmonious relationships, chose a healthy diet, and so forth…

Not long ago I met a businessman in Toronto whom I had consulted before. He couldn’t entirely give up drinking and eating unhealthy food after our talk, but when I came across him there later, he practically became a raw food eater, stopped drinking and started to visit sacred places. He looks wonderful, 15 years younger, and lost 20 kg. I’m inclined to believe that there are hundreds of such examples, that is why we made up our minds to have some hundred thousands more magazines printed and pay for their shipment to the province, if we get an order for at least a thousand of them. The life conditions in some remote towns of the former Soviet republics leave much to be desired.

If you have an opportunity to gather a large audience, feel free to contact us. We’ll try to put you in contact with the representatives of the Obshchee Delo society (concerning the revival of morality and temperance) or with graduates of our own training programs to give a lecture. Moreover, we distribute video CDs with materials on the harmful effects of alcohol, smoking and drugs (by the way, they all can be found on the web page of our magazine “Thanksgiving with Love”) free of charge, so you are always welcome to order them too.
Thanks a lot to those who help us!

The reward for every consultation given in the first half of the year sponsored this project.

_____________________________

In Moscow many say that spiritual awakening is in progress at the moment, people long to learn more about true spiritual life, for they realize they cannot go on living as they are any longer. And what I see confirms it as well. I haven’t seen such changes in the West yet.

The prophets of the past sound even more convincing now in their belief that the salvation for the modern will come from Russia, but whether we have enough time…

Yet the most painful thing to observe in Russia (here I also include Ukraine and Belorussia) is the betrayal carried on by some authorities and state officials that sell out their people for bribes. That is the heaviest burden; everything else can be sustained…

What an atheist one should be not to believe in the law of cause and effect, in the pay-off that awaits for the propaganda of alcoholism, for the connivance of women’s slavery and children’s homelessness (which level is now higher than ever before), for the support of sex and violence propaganda… It’s a pity some head members of the Orthodox Church support the idea that if they let all those people stand every holiday in the church in the first row with a candle in their hands, they would get clean in a blink of an eye and the Jesus with the Blessed Virgin Mary would relieve them of all their sins and let them take their houses together with their money bags to eternity…

Unfortunately, corruption is to be seen in various forms all over the world. I hope to write about the evergrowing corruption in Canada next time, if you are interested.

Just now I met a man and his son in our center who came to purchase some books. And I remembered our first consultation several years ago. He is a civil servant of a very high level, very high. He accepted what I told him then, began to work on self-improvement and changed a lot in many ways. According to his words, his life changed for the better as well as the relations with his son. As I figured out, he quit working in state organizations.

The global prophesies for the future, though staying out of my favorite topic list, arise much interest among people. I believe we should be ready to face death every moment of our life and not depend on the frightening stories that mass media feeds us with.

What I can see is that there will be global changes in the world in the nearest future.
If we study the works of all gifted, highly spiritual prophets of the past, who were able to see the future (Edgar Keisy, Christian saints, Vedic sages, etc.), they all agree that the civilization of today will face great disasters and wars in the years to come.

Not far from our village lives a pious Catholic woman who told us that it is rumored in their church there is a great prophetess whom the Pope Himself believes and defers to and who is of the same opinion about the future.
Besides, if we focus on the scientific approach to problem, the situation is such:

- Many scientists support the idea that the Gulf Stream has almost disappeared which will inevitably lead to a great ecological disaster, mainly for the Western Europe, east coast of the USA and Canada.

- Entire species of animals and plants disappear every day.

- The whole populations of birds, fish, and what is most significant – bees, also disappear which indicates a very wretched energy of the Earth.

A few days ago a friend of mine who works for one large high-tech company in Canada phoned me and told me with an angst in his voice that one major company buys up every other rival companies’ products and makes them bankrupt, that he read lots of scientific articles about what is going on in the world and doesn’t know what to do and where to go…

Today, according to the energy level, the most stable areas are the most part of Canada, Russia, Kazakhstan and Eastern Europe. However, there are no absolutely safe areas anywhere.

I advised him to concentrate on the salvation of his soul, to put oneself in the hands of God, to trust Him and be ready to face and accept any possible situation – it will give inner serenity, the ability to hear intuition and make the right decisions on the outer level, or decently accept death which is unavoidable, anyway.

The times are such now that everything provokes us to think about eternal values and to focus on serving the world.
Finally, I would recommend watching the following films (when you have some spare time in the process of saving the world):

The Mission – is a 1986 British historical film about the experiences of a Jesuit missionary in 18th century South America during the Guaraní war. It won the Palme d’Or and the Academy Award in Cannes. This film is not recommended for children unless accompanied by adults.

La belle verte – is a 1996 French film directed by Coline Serreau. Screenplay and original music score by Coline Serreau. Produced by Alain Sarde. Cinematography by Robert Alazraki. This film is also known under its alternative title The Green Beautiful.

The Chorus (French: Les Choristes) is a 2004 French drama film directed by Christophe Barratier. Co-written by Barratier and Philippe Lopes-Curval, it is an adaptation of the 1945 film A Cage of Nightingales (La Cage aux Rossignols). The film tells about the changes in everyday life of teenagers in a boarding school for “difficult” boys, when a new teacher arrives.

A Walk To Remember – is a 2002 American romance film based on the 1999 romance novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. The film stars Shane West and Mandy Moore, and was directed by Adam Shankman.

It’s a Wonderful Life – is a 1946 American comedy/drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra and based on the short story “The Greatest Gift” written by Philip Van Doren Stern. The film is recommended for anyone including small children.

I have not seen this movie myself but heard a lot of pleasant words about it – The Tree of Life is a 2011 American drama film written and directed by Terrence Malick and starring Sean Penn, Brad Pitt and Jessica Chastain. After decades in development the film was released on May 26, 2011 in the US and on June 09, 2011 in Russia.

“This is a new movie that won the Palme d’Or at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. It is a wonderful work unlike any other one. It is a film about the Love to God, the true one, which cannot be substituted by any principles no matter how good they may be. This is one of the best fiction works illustrating everything You teach us.”

These films are worth seeing especially if compared with everything else being shot these days.
Summer is the time for light watching rather than hard studying, and I hope my video-trainings are also light enough and pleasant to the eye and mood.

A new study showing that withaferin A’s anti-metastatic properties could form the basis of drug regimens aimed at preventing cancer recurrence is published online in the International Journal of Cancer.

“Most patients who die from cancer die because of metastases, not from the primary tumor,” says senior author Adam Marcus, assistant professor of hematology and medical oncology at Emory University.

“Our objective was not to find a way to kill cells, but instead, prevent them from migrating and invading other tissues.” The first author of the paper is postdoctoral fellow Jose Thaiparambil.

Withaferin A comes from withania somnifera, also known as ashwagandha, whose roots are used in Ayurvedic medicine that originated in India and has evolved there over thousands of years.

Researchers focused on withaferin A because it is known to bind the protein vimentin that is overproduced in cancer cells, especially those from invasive tumors that are more likely to metastasize.

The team looked for a concentration of withaferin A that prevents migration and invasion in laboratory tests but doesn’t kill cells. Withaferin A appears to prevent vimentin from forming a network within the cell.

In mice, it prevents breast cancer cells from spreading to the lung. Testing a set of chemically modified versions of withaferin A revealed that a particular region of the molecule is important for its anti-invasive activity and ability to disrupt vimentin.

In the 1990s, scientists found that mice lacking vimentin develop normally—a surprising result for a protein that looks like a basic building block of the cell that suggests that clinical use of withaferin A could have minimal toxic side effects.

It may be possible for withaferin A to be taken in low doses over long periods of time to prevent cancer metastasis, either in combination with chemotherapy or after these treatments are completed.

The research is now focusing on whether Withania somnifera contains other compounds that work together with withaferin A, comparing the root extract against purified withaferin A. In addition, other compounds identified independently that bind vimentin might have even more favorable properties, he says.

The work was supported by the Godfrey Charitable Trust, the American Cancer Society, the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and Golfers against Cancer.

In the introduction to the 4th issue of the magazine I wrote that I dedicated that issue to cancer treatment and that I was writing it exactly at the same age (40 years and 4 months) at which my mother had died of stomach cancer .

But I didn’t mention that in a couple of days after I wrote it, I myself was diagnosed with cancer. I had just finished writing an article on egoistic nature of cancer cells for that issue of the magazine . By the time it was handed over for printing, my treatment had been in full swing. When I was told the issue had got in distribution, I smiled thinking that it would be fun if I left my body after people would read it .

___________

I was visiting Moscow in September, 2010 and nothing foreboded an important period in my spiritual growth. I was precisely at that age – 40 years and 4 months. About a month before I had my body completely examined in Canada and my doctor told me that those were the best results she had ever seen. I had my examination done on purpose because according to my birth chart there was a period when I could fall seriously ill and actually taste death… After I had my examination done, I relaxed – the danger seemed to be over.

But while being in Moscow after a few days of consulting I felt bad energetically and a swelling on my face began to grow a bit. I had several of the kind before but they disappeared by themselves. And last time a friend of mine took me to the temple of Saint Matrena to pray and pick up some oil there, and he also brought me from India some ash from Sai-Baba (he is his worshipper) – I don’t know whether it helped or not, but everything disappeared. But this time I diagnosed myself and felt some bad energy there. So I agreed with my assistants that I needed to go to a doctor.

From the first minute doctors would reassure me, “Don’t worry, it’s no big deal,” even when the diagnosis was made. At first they told me I just needed some cosmetic surgery, on what I responded that I didn’t and asked them to test the swelling for oncology saying it was quite possible based on my energy state. They were surprised at my approach to diagnosing, but it was a private clinic, I was paying and they agreed.

I needed to have a biopsy test done on a lower floor, and I asked the Universe, “What do I have?” On the first door next to the stairs I read the answer – oncology.

They did my biopsy test and told me they would call me in a couple of hours, so I left to consult my customers.

___________________

I sank into consultations and almost forgot about my morning visit. At about 6 p.m. Svetlana , my then manager in Moscow, came to me and I understood everything from her face. After consultation I came to her to the kitchen, she was near crying. I offered her with humor :) my psychological help .

Her family in general love me very much and worry about me, and it were them who arranged my examination in the best clinic. And later they assisted a great deal in finding the best hospital for my treatment in Moscow. But I didn’t stay there, although the professor told me that after they had disturbed my swelling, I had no more than 2 weeks left for surgery, otherwise even that wouldn’t be of much help. My wife and my child had already bought air tickets to Moscow, where doctors were already assigning my weekly treatment – surgery and chemotherapy, but my intuition told me that I must get back to Canada in spite of a long flight, which would make my situation even worse, as everybody assured me.

But that was a few days later. And in the meantime we were having dinner with my other colleagues and joking that everything was temporary, that I had joked so dangerously about my nose so that it would soon cost me its cutting-off.

_____________________________

When everybody left, I found information in the Internet about my form of cancer and read that if they cut off the tumor at an early stage, 95% of people live another 5 years afterwards. I had had this swelling for about a year; it was obviously not an early stage. “To end up among lucky men lasting out for 5 years didn’t seem to be likely,” I thought.

At this time I would usually get in touch on the phone with my wife. For some reason I didn’t feel like hurrying to break this news to her, just told her that I was through with consultations and was about to start preparing for the next day. As usual, first she told me about our daughter`s conduct and then started telling me that she had been seriously improving herself according to Byron Katie system, about how good it is when you get rid of your fears and negative emotions, when you live here and now.

And she asked me cheerfully: “Do you know what my strongest fear was? – To lose you.”

I asked her (because I knew that a person attracts to his life everything that he is afraid of, everything that he criticizes and condemns): “So did you get rid of it?” On what she responded that not quite but she was near it. On hearing that I strongly advised her to get rid of it and broke the news. Then we began discussing her possible arrival. Afterwards she said that this event taught her a good lesson, she experienced a lot and came up with lots of ideas for seminars, articles, for example, on emotions.

After the talk I thought about an interesting coincidence that exactly at this age my mother died and before death she asked me to find a way to treat cancer and other serious illnesses. She achieved a great deal by her 40 years: finished university, was very much respected at work, mastered English to near perfection, spent a lot of time taking great care of me and my brother, along with my father they built a big house and….

I analyzed that and found that all in all I have a similar situation.

Though I have had a very hard life, but over the last years I reached almost everything I wanted on all 4 levels and I couldn’t complain about life, except for overwork at consultations and tiredness after long flights.

I decided to analyze my energy status and consequently my immunity. What I saw shocked me greatly… My energy was not even far in the red, it slumped abruptly. I consulted such people several times, all of them came not long before they died… I won’t be telling lies – that time I was taken aback. Consciously I gave vent to my fears so that they wouldn’t penetrate my subconsciousness. More than that, I began intensifying them, remembered how my mother was passing away, how many unrealized plans and loved ones I would have to leave here.

Many times I mentally went through any possible life events, including a possibility of a severe prolonged illness and death. I was not scared of it, but I knew that this life scenario might give rise to doubts of the principles which I propagandize and which I try to follow in my life.

With such energy profile it was very difficult to consult, so I asked if it was possible to cancel consultations for the days left, but it was difficult because many people had already planned to come.

Basically there came people with severe fate. After the second consultation where the women were very sad about their misfortunes: one was having a quarrel with her husband, the other one had been discharged from work (which, by the way, didn’t suit her at all), I looked aside and thought: “I wish I had your problems…”

But I couldn’t cancel the training in two days any more. The training was called “Where to derive energy…” .

I am signing my books during a training break; on a closer look, you will see I have something like a sore on my nose, it is after a biopsy cut.

I started praying to God to help me conduct this training; I wanted to help people anyway. In fact, I do it every time – I ask God to help people become wiser and more loving through me, but in order to be at least an ordinary conductor, your energy must be in a big plus. I checked it directly before the training – it was minus ten (the energy level as per my system). But during the training I happened to be in the flow and generally everything went off all right. A lot of people told me that it was a much better training compared to the one before. “Might be the last one,” I smiled to myself.

________________________________________________

I finished everything I planned to do in Moscow and got back to Canada – there were lots of opportunities for spiritual growth: the soonest doctor’s appointment was almost in two weeks’ time. At the doctor’s I was told that, yes, it was cancer and it must be cut off immediately, the more so because the swelling began to grow fast for the past few days. The doctors were surprised that my biopsy taken was about half a centimeter in size – they cut a big area of the skin and under it. It appears that in Canada they take only a needle point size of it. And everybody told me that I must be immediately operated on.

But their secretary wouldn’t call us. Finally, when we got through to her, she said that the doctor hadn’t told her anything and that all my papers had been lost and my folder was fully empty. We asked her, “And does it happen often enough?” She said, “For the first time.” Then she finally found a doctor, who wrote new patient referrals, but the earliest time for surgery was scheduled almost in a month’s time. Free Canadian medicine has its own imperfections: doctors’ capabilities are limited, and there is almost no private medical practice here.

We visited a private doctor, a Japanese, who took it to heart and tried to help us get a chance for a faster surgery in Canada but failed and then arranged my surgery to be performed at a private clinic in New York, but my intuition told me again that I shouldn’t go there. By the way, with his Japanese-style accurate approach to the problem, he began to show me on computer and on paper, how at this stage cells could spread all over the entire body, and noticed that it would be especially dangerous if it happened in the brain. He said that it was a matter of a few days. It was a very useful discussion, from a philosophical point of view…

The situation was somewhat nervous because of the high anxiety of relatives and well-wishers, who knew about my situation, so I had to somehow calm them down from time to time.

____________________________________________

It got stuck in my mind that when we came to Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto for the first time (it is located between Mount Sinai and Toronto General Hospitals, which specialize in treatment of all serious illnesses and which, by the way, are extremely overcrowded too), that is considered to be one of the best in the treatment of cancer, I was surprised to see a lot of entertainment, business and educational establishments, where people don’t obviously think about the temporariness of everything. If experts’ forecasts are to be trusted, should cancer progress at the same speed, in a few years’ time every other man will have it. Right at the entrance to the hospital there was a huge café full of junk-food – harmful chemical food; we didn’t see anything NOT HURMFUL there. And inside the hospital there were some more such cafés, besides there were some stands where they were taking donations on cancer research which is inherently very-very costly and which allows many people involved in it be very well-paid.

In the reception room I saw a few brochures, which covers revealed athletic-looking people and I was happy that at least there there was some promotion of a healthy life-style, but those turned out to be requests for donations too.

Next to me in a queue there was a girl, who was very irritated by everything, a businessman with his wife who was speaking on the phone in three languages, including Russian. He was apparently involved in his work and still didn’t realize that quite soon everything might be over. Suddenly doctors were summoned and something like an alarm was raised. A young lady, who came into a doctor`s office 15 minutes before that, felt bad all of a sudden, and they put her on a gurney and connected to an artificial respiration device. Upon entering the doctor’s office, I passed her by and I saw on a subtle level that she would not live much longer… Judging by her subtle body I could tell that she didn’t try to improve herself in this life. All that again cast various philosophical thoughts.

All the others, including doctors, didn’t show their anxiety in any way; for them that incident (sufferings and a quick death) was a routine deal.

So there was nothing to do, but wait. The surgery was scheduled for a very bad time from the astrological point of view, but to ask for changing the date would mean to postpone the surgery for another two months, and the day might have been even worse, so there was practically no choice. The tumor was growing. I started eating like was advised in the forth issue of our magazine – buckwheat, fresh fruits, vegetables etc., and the tumor growth would stop. But once I ate some white sugar and some junk-food, and the tumor started growing. I began experimenting and noticed that food was very important. There were some other important observations and conclusions. A lot of different ideas came to me, but this is a separate subject.

I have consulted many people, especially recently, who were having cancer. Some of them think that they were cured of it after my consultation (about 20 people), because they followed what they heard during my consultation, but the personal experience of it gives deeper insights.

We visited a very good doctor, who, in spite of having a PhD in medicine, basically treats patients with alternative methods and has a very strong subtle vision, in effectiveness of which I was convinced more than once. By the way, she’s Ukrainian by origin, and she speaks Russian, although very badly.

She said that I had to have that thing cut off immediately (although, generally she was against surgeries), that I had no more than 2 weeks for that, then it would spread via blood all over my body and on a wide area over my face. She didn’t see any karmic reasons for that and said that it happened mostly due to physical reasons: low immunity, food, sun, etc., besides, someone strongly wished me ill.

On a subtle level I didn’t see any special reasons and big mistakes in my world outlook either. Somebody was idolizing me (it is good that only my nose ). And I spent the whole summer in the sun, which used to help me get rid of all of my pimples, but the incipient period of Ketu gave the opposite results. Besides, in Canada I had very serious problems with my teeth, and had more than 30 X-rays of my face made in the last year.

But in any case, the surgery was no earlier than 1 month ahead, on a bad astrological day, and there was nothing to do but wait and work on improving myself, and it was only fitting to think of eternal values.

_______________

That woman had her office next to Niagara Falls and we stayed there overnight, because it was fairly far to go home. They gave us a room on the top floor of the hotel with a wonderful view of Niagara Falls, which from a bird’s eye view looked not quite big. Everything around it was turned into an energetic disposal dump, as is typical in the West, intended for complete degradation of people on all 4 levels. Around the hotels there was low-standard music playing to the max till late at night, the restaurants were full of junk food, and there were different kinds of shows, casinos, etc.

But up there it was very good to meditate and pray, remember the life spent, and I had a lot of different realizations. I will tell one thing – all this had a great influence on me, and now I am not the person I used to be. For example, all my fears went away – to be good and kind, unwillingness to come into conflicts, when necessary, etc.

It’s a good practice to watch running water for a long time, in Buddhism there is a similar meditative technique: it occurs to you quite subconsciously that everything is temporary. I approached the waterfall and watched it from a height.

On my way back I called the secretary to the hospital again, but she only confirmed – not earlier than in a month’ time. I reminded her again that in Russia a leading professor in this area said I had maximum two weeks left, but three weeks passed already, the tumor had been growing very rapidly in the last days, it could penetrate my eyes, brain etc. In reply she said she knew that but…a queue was a queue, more than that, if somebody was more urgent, they might put me off.

Anyway, there was nothing to do, but to accept the situation. In a situation like that I understood how important my nearest and dearest were. In the first place, it is for their sake you would wish to live on and keep on striving for health. What is more, my wife’s relatives were arranging and crowding the matters regarding the official medicine in Canada, my assistants in Moscow were looking for clinics all over the world, although I didn’t ask them to. By the way, in Israel I was told that the situation was dangerous and very urgent, and they would need about two weeks to handle everything, and every day of my hospital stay would cost over $1000, that it would require a general anaesthesia and a lot of medical procedures and that they could accept me any time.

In free Canadian medicine they say: “We will cut it off under local anaesthesia and you will go home immediately; should you feel bad, you will come back.”

Several families of my students, who knew about my illness, prayed for me and offered me their practical help. The strongest support, in my opinion, was from Nastya, who was walking round Kailas – a mountain in Himalayas (one of the saintest places in the world), and it is considered to be a very difficult route even for trained people. She said she had always been praying for me out there.

“… The most memorable place of Kailas is its northern slope. It is the most severe one and it was the most difficult to climb. There was a terrible wind. It so happened that we stayed there one night longer than planned, that allowed some of us to come closer to it – it’s the inward view from where kora ran, only few people can reach it. I touched Kailas itself! (if I can say so), which is possible only in very good weather and a lot of other things had to go well too. You had your surgery on that very day, as I was told later by my mom. And there’s also a photo of the southern slope – it is the end of the kora. The beauty and magnificence, power and many other things…

I can’t convey it in words.

We were very lucky, as we made the kora in good and clear weather, and still it was very difficult to do! I can’t even imagine how people could do it in some other conditions. The next day it was snowing as hell! Thanks God, we saw it only from our jeeps on our way back. Now I can’t believe that it happened to me. There is God’s will for everything! (Commented by Anastasiya Ragozina.)…”

_____________________

One day I took my latest diagnosis, sat at my computer, and translated it – it said that it was some kind of melanoma, and a surgical interference was a must. Mentally I let the situation go, checked my energy on a subtle level – it was supposed to be enough for another 2 months for sure, so, God grant, I would manage to conduct a festival in Israel and the final 5th stage of the course in psychology in Moscow, and so I stopped all my diagnostics and simply began to live.

A few days later we were having our breakfast, when they called us from the hospital and said that something had changed there, and they could operate on me a few days later. I checked – it was one of the best days in the year for such proceedings. The surgery was arranged in General Toronto Hospital, which was located across the road from Princess Margaret Hospital.

As it turned out later on, there came several young interns for practical training, but to their credit be it said, they did their utmost, and, as some doctors told me later, they had done a perfect job.

It was an interesting experience: they stuck adhesive plaster over my eyes, and it was somewhat unpleasant because there was a possibility that my eyesight could be damaged during surgery, and I was far from being 100% sure that I would ever see the sunlight again.

Medical staff was multinational. The head doctor, who just stopped by at the beginning, had a German or a Jewish last name, another doctor, his assistant, was Chinese, who grew up in Australia, where skin cancer happens very frequently, a nurse was Canadian, and I was operated on by a fair young oriental looking woman, whose energy was in a big plus. Everything seemed to have passed well enough.

I was told to come back the next week to take off sutures and get to know the results: they had to make an examination and to find out exactly what it was, and whether everything was cut out.

But that appointment was very important to me. One day before it I felt somewhat stressed, like once before an exam. I stayed overnight in the hotel “Delta”, located a couple of blocks away from the hospital. The next morning I felt calm and peaceful, ready to accept anything that might happen as the Higher will; I had a feeling of being here and now, of being in the flow.

In the hospital they took off the sutures, then took the pictures of me, as I understood, for their term paper, and there came the doctor (the Chinese) and said they had checked the tumor – it was not cancer at all (but it could turn into cancer, should I neglect it for a long time, however, as any other cells in our body), and it couldn’t give metastases, and it seemed like they had cut out everything. They said I must come again in 3 months for examination, because a setback was possible.

I asked him, “What about several tests, which I had done in laboratories and clinics specializing in it? I still have these glass slides with biopsy, and why did this tumor behave for some time like a fast-spreading cancer?” He shrugged his shoulders, as he evidently had no time to give it a serious thought. He said that he had seen that for the first time and began telling me in details what had to be done to make the suture less visible. I was not much interested in that point. The main thing was that I would not die in the nearest time and they even wouldn’t cut off my beloved nose .

I came out from the hospital and at the same time my wife drove up to the entrance (although she was driving in traffic jams from another city), and we went to celebrate that in a raw food restaurant.

______________________

It was the second time, when I was diagnosed with cancer. For the first time it happened eight years ago, and it had a great impact on me and my world outlook (I seldom told anyone about it, because I was afraid to put the evil eye on myself).

I was diagnosed that time with a lungs cancer, and I intuitively understood that it occurred because of my world outlook, so I started improving myself, my world outlook and my life style. Then it seemed to have passed. But one famous ayurvedic doctor (I mentioned him in my book “Three energies”) told me about five years ago that there was something in my lungs, but if I did pranayama, yoga, and live a harmonious life, it would be gone.

About three years ago, when I was moving to Canada, I had to pass a medical checkup, and there was some problem with fluorography: they made X-rays four times and saw something on them. I was working upon myself, getting rid of all attachments to the world and to a successful fate. Before taking the last X-ray I felt fully calm inside. They came out to me and said that everything was okay, apparently there might have been something wrong with the apparatus, then stamped my papers and I could go to Canada.

That incident gave me understanding about how important it was to improve yourself.

The other incident taught me more about how much we depend on food, environment, communication. And that, no matter how wonderful everything in your life might be, it can change very fast. There should be nothing to be proud of or attached to.

Also that second incident left a scar on my face as a constant reminder of eternal values, and the higher I raise my nose, the better this “reminder” is seen.

Though the doctors promised me, that after a couple of years it would almost disappear, should everything be good. I feel a bit sad about it, although the Universe has lots of means to help us get rid of egoism and pride…

P.S.: Thanks a lot to everybody who helped me and prayed for me. Forgive me those, who wish me bad; through my sinful actions in the past I attracted your disgrace.

And be happy and healthy all of you…

I want it very much that nobody had such illnesses – I hope my knowledge (stated in my books and on my CDs) will help you in it.

1. Modern western astrologers use the tropical abstract Zodiac, suggesting that the Sun comes to the same point on the vernal equinox. Vedic astrologers take into accoun the sidereal (fixed) horoscope. The Universe expands constantly, stars move little by little, they do not stand still.

The Sun returns to the same point every year with a little displacement, which is approximately 50 1 / 3 arc-second. This Sun’s shift back against the stars is called precession or ayanamsha. The Indian astrology considers this very slight shift which is 23 degrees for 2000 years. The coincidence of two Zodiacs falls on spring equinox of 285 AD. Thereby the first difference between a Vedic and Western chart is that the planets and Lagna are shifted back by approximately 23 degrees 52 ‘minutes depending on the date of birth.

2. In the Vedic astrology each house takes a whole sign even if the Ascendant sign falls on the first degree. In the Western astrology one sign can cover up to three houses.

3. There are no Rahu and Ketu in the Western astrology (at least until recently), the shadow planets, which are important characteristics of human karma and other important moments. Westerners use the planets Uranus, Pluto, Neptune, and now even Chiron. However, in order to check their influence we need hundreds of years. Moreover, the modern Western schools now are beginning to consider smaller planets and even comets.

Here You can find the article completely refutes their influence .
In Vedic astrology uses only the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn and two moon nodes: Rahu (Dragon Head) and Ketu (Dragon Tail). Thus, the Vedic astrologer works with the nine planets, and also in the interpretation of some moments sometimes it is used 10 upagrah or dark planets such as: Dhuma, Vyatipata, Paridhi, Indrachaapa, Upaketu, Mandi, Gulick, Kaala, Yamagantaka, Ardhaprahara and Mrityu.

4. The Western astrology attaches great importance to the position of the Sun in a specific sign (it is there for one month). And the Vedic astrology to the position of the Moon in a sign (2 days) and Lagna, the Rising sign, ascendant, which varies every 2 hours on average. From the position of the Vedic astrology it is rather strange to hear people read their psychological characteristics, prognosis for the future and determine their compatibility with others on the basis of month they were born.

5. The Western astrologers use mostly for predictions transits of the planets, as well as progression, solarium and Lunar. So far there are few of those who have mastered this knowledge well and can make successful predictions. I have heard from people who teach Western astrology and advise for many years that their system is unable to make successful predictions. Therefore they began calling themselves the psychological astrologers, humanistic, etc. Although in my view psychological analysis there is quite superficial.

In the Vedic astrology it was paid approximately 10% of attention on transits. The remaining predictions were made based on various systems: das (periods), primarily Vimshotari-dasa, where as a basis was taken the position of the Moon in a particular Nakshatra (Lunar mansion). The Vedic astrology uses many different systems of periods of the planets, Dasha systems, the most common of which is Vimshottari-dasa, 120-year cycle of the nine planets. Also in the Vedic astrology there are different systems of the signs periods, when signs and not planets rule certain spheres of a human life. In both cases each of the periods is ruled by the certain planet or sign that bring into play the potential of a birth chart. In total there are about fifty systems of periods (of the planets or signs) that allow the Jyotish achieve high accuracy in predicting events of a human life, especially the time of their occurrence. In the Western astrology such systems of periods are absent.

Greeks still had this knowledge but later on it disappeared, was lost. Some Western researchers and astrologers are trying now to restore this “Greek” system. According to many people dealing with the Western Astrology for a long time and acquaint with such kind of knowledge, this system of periods amazes its accuracy.

Almost every my course was attended by several people who practiced the Western astrology for many years. Most of them afterwards completely went over to the Vedic astrology and the rest combined both of them.

6. The Vedic astrology uses 27 Nakshatras (lunar mansions) which are of great importance, makes it possible to see much deeper any person’s chart, any event. Some Western astrologers also started to use this knowledge lately. Arabs, in their turn, copied it from the Vedas, obtained by them in the process of conquest, and gave it their name. Greeks and Persians also had knowledge about the Nakshatras.
Position of the planets in the Nakshatras (firstly of the Moon, the rising sign, the Sun) enables to reveal quite a lot. Each Nakshatra takes 13, 20 degrees and is divided into 4 parts (pads). Eexactly Nakshatras show under what star a person was born.

7. Western astrologers use only one chart, natal. Vedas astrologers say: yes, it is most important, but also there is no less important a chart, moon chart, plus 16 extra charts (Vargas), which help to see in detail all aspects and areas of life, to penetrate deeply human psychology, including the subconscious.
The Vedic Astrology also has many tools that are unique and are not used in the Western astrology. These are Karaki or indicators that provide an understanding of different categories of people or other spheres of human life, and also other prediction methods such as: Ashtakavarga, Sudarshan Chakra Chakra Sarvatobhadra, Saham, etc. as well as dozens of Lagnas, argalas, Sahams, various chakras varshaphal, ayurdaya, avasthas, Prashna, navatara, upagrahas, nadis, etc.
All of them are part of the objective reality and always act together. In the Western astrology is considered maximum of 5% of the real picture.

8. Vedic astrologers use yogas, connection of the planets. There are thousands of yogas (planetary combinations), only a few hundred basic. There are still schools in India that teach only yogas, and owing to this can analyze a chart well enough and fairly deep. Western astrologers do not know about this at all.

9. The system of aspects interpretation is also different. Aspect in astrology means the influence of one object to another (“one planet looks at the other”), that is as the influence is transmitted over a distance. In the Vedic astrology different planets “give” different aspects according to their nature, in the Western astrology aspects of all the planets are the same. In the Jyotish aspects are asymmetrical (that is the aspect of 90 degrees ahead of the planet is not the same as the aspect of 90 degrees back of the planet), in the Western astrology aspects are symmetrical. In the Western astrology there are many aspects and they are calculated on the basis of the degrees of the planets, in the Jyotish there are no so much aspects and they are calculated based on the houses of the planets (the planet in the house “looks ” at all the planets in another house and the sign of the house). In the Western astrology aspects themselves can be good and bad, in the Jyotish planets are considered to be favorable or unfavorable and not their aspects. Also, there are no aspects of the signs in the Western astrology, in the Jyotish along with aspects of the planets there are aspects of the signs.

10. The Vedic astrology uses a deeply studied upaya system (methods of the planetary influences harmonizing), as well as Ayurveda (medicine and psychology), etc.

11. In the Vedic astrology much attention is paid to the personality of an astrologer, qualities of character, spiritual level, Sadhana (daily spiritual practice). In the Western astrology it is not important.

12. The Vedic astrology was given by enlightened sages in meditation many years ago and was a part of the Vedas. The Modern Western astrology is just fragments of some knowledge. The Vedic astrology was transmitted by Parampara (the chain of disciples’ continuity) for many millennia. From India it spread to Persia (exactly Persian astrologers predicted the coming of Jesus Christ), then to ancient Greece where it was still closely connected with its roots. Later on, with the spread of Christianity, astrology sometimes was forbidden, sometimes was allowed, many books and knowledge were lost in Europe. In the 19 century in Europe astrology was completely forgotten, as it was believed that as technology was developed there would not be need for it. It was revived in the 20 century, more like a commercial project. It became popular to give different kinds of predictions in the media (for the week, month, year, etc.), comments, and mostly in accordance with the position of the Sun, which is usually far from objectivity; also it was mixed up with the magic, etc. All this causes much damage to the very word Astrology.

Most importantly the Jyotish (Vedic astrology) places God at the center of the universe, while the Western astrology, with its characteristic materialist approach, holds Him out of the world picture, and aims to exploit the resources of the material universe. In the Vedic astrology there is an important principle of the guru (spiritual teacher), or Ishta Devata, without whose blessing an astrologer has no right to engage in predictions, as in the Western astrology there are no restrictions, even a self-taught can engage in astrology. The Jyotish in Sanskrit means “light “, the divine light, and the Vedic astrology is the science of how to shed God light on people. The main objective of a real Vedic astrologer is to bring a person closer to God’s love, at the same time helping to solve problems existing in the material world.

“Astrology” is just a “stars science” and even the word itself is with the implication that a man is a master of nature (as in any other physical sciences).

The main objective of the real Vedic astrologer is to bring a person closer to God’s love and of the secondary importance, helping at the same time to solve all kinds of problems existing in the material world.
Early Christianity had rejected astrology as struggling with the authority of Magi, priests, shamans, and in general any competing spiritual outlook, even though Christ’s birth was predicted and marked by rising a star, which is one of the branches of the astrology, astrology signs.

Interestingly, the official prohibition of astrology was in 4th century.

Neither Jesus nor his disciples opposed the astrology. The same applies to the Old Testament. Eight years ago in Israel I was lent a book of well-known Rabbi about the planetary influences on human health and the fate of the USA, who adduces hundreds of evidences, relying on the Holy Scriptures and sayings of sages, confirming the authority of astrology.
In the 3rd century after the church rejected a treatise on the Transmigration of a soul and formulated religious dogmas that could help including in political issues, governing a state, astrologers were quite useless.

This prohibition had a positive moment, it forbade people to turn to fortune-tellers and astrologers for the future prediction. Only God knows the future. Astrology besides the approximate vision of the future, could tell quite exactly when to begin certain activities such as planting crops, taking medication, religious sacrifices, etc.

Brushing aside this knowledge, civilization doomed itself to a lot of lean years, epidemics of many diseases, poverty.
This prohibition broke the tradition of the Western astrology and, most importantly, the spiritual basis of the astrology was lost, it was alienated from the understanding of the law of causes and effects, the law of karma.

Although modern Western astrologers started using the word “karma” and “reincarnation”, but obviously these words are new in their vocabulary. Even 50-100 years ago there were very few people in the society who believed in the transmigration of souls, and several hundred years ago it was possible to be burnt for saying such words.

Speaking about the scientific character of the Vedic astrology, we mean three factors that are assigned primary importance by those who practice the science of the Vedic Astrology:

1. The basic principle is to mention the author of classic works on Jyotish (Vedic astrology) at discussing the astrological techniques, beginning with the great enlightened sages who lived thousands years ago, to many noted astrology pundits AD.
2. If this technique is consistent with the shastras principles (classical Vedic scriptures), then it must stand the test of logic and common sense (nyaaya), that is should be the logical extension of existing established principles.
3. If the above two factors are confirmed, the proposed principle must also pass a test on a large number of randomly selected cards.

Along with these three factors also need to study and detailed explanation of the principles of Vedic astrology because the classical works are not complete, since many parts were lost, and many topics are only a very brief explanation, which need to be developed to become practically applicable .

In conclusion, I would like to say that I am a supporter of objective and unprejudiced opinion, but in this article the Vedic astrology is colored. That is my opinion after about 20 years of studying and teaching this science.

Finally, many people now have noticed the growing popularity of the Vedic astrology and have started to teach or advise actively without having proper skills and knowledge. On the other hand there are intuitive and very spiritually advanced people who use the Western astrology in consultations. Therefore, in this issue all determines the personality. Harmonious personality, even using unsuitable tools can help you more than that one, who uses a precision tool but unskillfully. The same medication may be prescribed by two different doctors and the result will be different. The energy and development level of doctor’s, psychologist’s, astrologer’s, teacher’s personality can scarcely be overestimated.
