How to get rid of irritation and anger? To understand that there is no real reason for anger and irritation. One of the three major sins enumerated in the Vedas is anger (besides lust and greed). There can be no love in a heart, where there is anger or irritation. Anger and irritation are the denial of love. And this is the most basic sin, followed by all the rest. If we do not commit the sin of denying love, we automatically set ourselves free from other sinful thoughts and actions.
We always have a choice how to react to a situation. Acceptance of the situation brings peace and love and disapproval of the situation has as a consequence lots of negative emotions, such as irritation, anger, sadness, spite, resentment, pain, fear, etc. You’d probably say: "It’s easy to say, “Choose how to react”. But it is not so easy to do in practice. If I am annoyed with something, how can I react differently?"
In truth, it is very easy to react to the situation with acceptance, if we understand that our negative reaction to the situation is not based on reality. It is not based on Truth.

Question 1: Should married women be employed and earn money for living as well as men?
The woman has a sacred role as a mother and homemaker that we should honor. Her place in forming a harmonious society is pivotal. Every woman holds the Shakti power and grace of the Divine Feminine and should cultivate the nurturing, calming and compassionate aspect of her deeper nature to sustain universal peace and harmony, starting with her immediate relationships.
Yet women today must have some vocational training for their emotional and mental well-being. It has become almost a necessity in the modern world that wives have to work to augment the family income. This may be unfortunate but has become a reality that many families must face.
Whether women should have a job also depends upon the welfare and financial status of the family. Besides the monetary aspect it is important that young children have a mother in the home during their formative years. Personal guidance, structure and spiritual initiation is very important in the child’s growing years.

Withaferin A, which comes from withania somnifera, contains anti-metastatic properties that could be used in drugs aimed at preventing cancer recurrence. Use of the compound originated in India and has evolved there over thousands of years. (Credit: Wikimedia Commons)
A new study showing that withaferin A’s anti-metastatic properties could form the basis of drug regimens aimed at preventing cancer recurrence is published online in the International Journal of Cancer.
“Most patients who die from cancer die because of metastases, not from the primary tumor,” says senior author Adam Marcus, assistant professor of hematology and medical oncology at Emory University.

Probably every person asks himself a question: “Where to take money and why it is always missing?” The answer to this question people still do not know.

Researchers from the Harvard University, collected the data by a method of converting time into money, all data is grouped into four groups. Each group of people using similar type of transformation, time is money “has been correlated with any living creature, the habits of which coincided with the methods of ”extraction“ of money in this population.

Who can tell what is good or bad luck?
Zen saying.
Most of us dream of the day when we won’t have any more problems, when everything will be resolved, and our lives will be “complete”. But problems are an important and valuable part of our lives, and instead of trying to eliminate them, we should strive to understand exactly what they are.
Nothing happens by chance. We are a part of a universe that is forever giving us definite messages and signals, often in the form of problems. It is not an accident or coincidence that a particular problem is happening to you at any given point in your life; our difficulties are signposts waiting to be read. Ask yourself: What is the problem I’m experiencing telling me about myself? What is it telling me about my thoughts? Beliefs? Actions? Choices? Lifestyle? What is this problem trying to tell me? Look closely, and see if you can find the real cause. If you always feel sorry for yourself or helpless when a problem comes your way, you’ll miss the important messages it brings you.

It is well to be up before daybreak, for such habits contribute to health, wealth, and wisdom.
- Aristotle
Are morning people born or made? In my case it was definitely made. In my early 20s, I rarely went to bed before midnight, and I’d almost always sleep in late. I usually didn’t start hitting my stride each day until late afternoon.
But after a while I couldn’t ignore the high correlation between success and rising early, even in my own life. On those rare occasions where I did get up early, I noticed that my productivity was almost always higher, not just in the morning but all throughout the day. And I also noticed a significant feeling of well-being. So being the proactive goal-achiever I was, I set out to become a habitual early riser. I promptly set my alarm clock for 5AM…

In people with hypokalemia, a drop in blood potassium levels results in problems with vital muscle functions. Symptoms can range from mild weakness to serious paralysis, say Greek researchers who conducted a review of people who drank between two to nine liters of cola a day.
Two of the patients were pregnant women who were admitted to hospital with low potassium levels. One was a 21-year-old woman who drank up to three liters of cola a day and complained of fatigue, appetite loss and persistent vomiting. An electrocardiogram revealed she had a heart blockage, and blood tests showed she had low potassium levels, the researchers explained in a news release.
The second pregnant patient, who’d consumed up to seven liters of cola a day for 10 months, had low potassium levels and was suffering from increasing muscular weakness, the researchers noted.
Both patients made a rapid and full recovery after they stopped drinking cola and took oral or intravenous potassium. The case studies are described in the June issue of the International Journal of Clinical Practice.
"We are consuming more soft drinks than ever before, and a number of health issues have already been identified including tooth problems, bone demineralization and the development of metabolic syndrome and diabetes," and there’s increasing evidence that excessive cola consumption leads to hypokalemia, Dr. Moses Elisaf, of the University of Ioannina, said in the news release.
Elisaf said the three most common ingredients in cola — glucose, fructose and caffeine — can contribute to hypokalemia.
"The individual role of each of these ingredients in the pathophysiology of cola-induced hypokalemia has not been determined and may vary in different patients," Elisaf said. "However, in most of the cases we looked at for our review, caffeine intoxication was thought to play the most important role. This has been borne out by case studies that focus on other products that contain high levels of caffeine but no glucose or fructose."
However, "caffeine-free cola products can also cause hypokalemia because the fructose they contain can cause diarrhea," Elisaf said.

A new study shows that diets high in processed foods not only result in weight issues, but they increase behavior problems and learning difficulties. Junk food prohibits the brain from working properly, leading to underachievement and a host of disorders.
Junk food not only lacks the vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids that boost brain power but actually reduce the body’s uptake of vital nutrients that help improve concentration. Research published in the American Journal Pediatrics indicates that many who are given medication for Attention Deficiency Disorder could actually be better off by simply improving their diet.
The study showed that giving children essential fats, found in fish and nuts, improves brainpower. Their ability to learn increased and their behavior dramatically improved by supplementing their diets this way. Startling results in those who were underachieving and those who were disruptive were recorded after only three months.
"Food affects behavior,” said Lead Researcher, Dr. Alexandra Richardson of Oxford University’s Physiology Department. “To ignore the role of nutrition is indefensible. If you pay attention to diet you can really improve behavior and learning.”
The study showed that unhealthy dietary fats can actually displace the healthy fats in the brain. Known as trans-fats, they are mostly found in processed foods like cakes and cookies. Teenagers get a majority of their calories from these bad fats, and nutritionists worry that such poor diets could permanently damage brain development.

• 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated. (This likely applies to half the world’s population).
• In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak that it is often mistaken for hunger.
• Even MILD dehydration will slow down one’s metabolism as much as 3%.
• One glass of water shuts down midnight hunger pangs for almost 100% of the dieters investigated in a Univesity of Washington study.
• Lack of water is the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.
• Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of sufferers.
• A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on the computer screen or on a printed page.
• Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast cancer by 79%, and one is 50% less likely to develop bladder cancer.
QUESTION: Are you drinking the amount of water you should every day?
